"How Evening Primrose Oil Puts an End
to the Female Hormonal Blues*..."

Sometimes science discovers something so very special... that even the scientists who uncover it may not realize just how momentous it is -- at least for many decades.

On some occasions, that's been due to lack of available instruments to dig deeper into the discovery. Such was the case with the discovery of prostaglandins, which are produced in every cell of your body.

Continuing research will surely reveal tremendous new insights into these fascinating nutrients.

Scientists already know that they have dramatic and far-reaching implications for your state of health... and that they particularly impact your body systems, especially if you are a woman.

Are you interested in discovering how to improve the action of prostaglandins for your most fabulous health? Then keep reading...

How the Accidental Discovery of Prostaglandins Gives You Intentional
Health Support

  • Moving calcium and other substances into and out of cells*
  • Supporting optimal blood viscosity*
  • Controlling blood pressure levels*
  • Regulating secretions, including digestive juices and hormones*
  • Controlling fertility processes*
  • Regulating division and growth of cells*
  • Supporting your body's immune system*
  • Regulating the metabolic rate of various tissues*

Prostaglandin Production at Warp Speed

One of the best ways to improve your prostaglandin production is to adjust your diet for maximum control of your insulin levels... by reducing or eliminating sugars and grains, and by developing an exhilarating exercise program which helps your body manage its insulin production.

Of course, normalizing your vitamin D levels, getting adequate sleep, eating plenty of veggies, and optimizing your omega-3 levels all play a role in your optimal health and prostaglandin production.

But if you're a typical seeker of high level of health, you probably want to  enhance your prostaglandin production in all the ways you can...

And that's precisely why I developed Krill for Women with Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) -- especially with female health in mind.

For your ease and convenience -- and the synergistic effect of combining krill oil and EPO -- I developed a product that merges them into one easy 'caplique'.

Consider this...

How Evening Primrose Supports Optimal Health*

Evening primrose is a North American wildflower that isn't even really a true primrose. Its flower opens in the evening, explaining that part of its name.

Traditionally valued as a source of food (its roots and seeds were eaten), it was also used as an herbal medicine by Native Americans.

Modern interest focuses on its small dark seeds, which produce an oil rich in essential fatty acids. Its EFA profile includes 65% linoleic acid and 8-10% gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), critical precursors for manufacturing prostaglandin E-1 -- which helps support normal inflammatory levels and optimal health.*

A little more explanation is in order...

Understanding the Mysterious Prostaglandin Connection

Gamma linolenic acid (GLA) is an essential fatty acid (EFA) in the omega-6 family, found mainly in certain plant-based oils, like evening primrose oil. Your body needs EFAs, but cannot produce its own supply. That's why EFAs must be obtained from your diet.

GLA is responsible for normal functioning and growth of cells, nerves, muscles and organs throughout your body -- including normal brain function, skin and hair growth, bone health, metabolic control, and reproductive health.*

Truly, all your cell membranes depend on GLA to carry out their functions*.

Without adequate GLA, your cells operate at less than full capacity. Sooner or later, important functions break down, leaving you feeling at less than  your peak... possibly even feeling droopy, dragged out and unable to enjoy all the assets and activities of your life.

But before I jump into the details of how this works, let me say this...

Why You Should Drop Most Omega-6s and Add This One...

You can enhance your health by making sure most omega-6 oils exit your diet! The majority of Americans suffer from an imbalance of omega-6s to omega-3s. Far too many omega-6s are part of the standard American diet, compliments of processed oils and fast foods.

Whereas the ideal balance of omega-3s to omega-6s is 1:1 to 1:4, the typical American ratios range from 1:11 to 1:30. That imbalance can lead to health concerns in your body.

But here's something very interesting...

The Varying Habits of Diverse Omega-6s

Not all omega-6 fatty acids behave the same way.

Linoleic acid (LA) -- plentiful in cooking oils and processed foods -- and arachidonic acid (AA) tend to undermine optimal health because of their potential impact on inflammatory levels. (Please note: LA should not be confused with alpha-linolenic acid, which is in the omega-3 family!)

GLA can break down into either AA or the more helpful dihomo-gamma-linolenic acid (DGLA), which competes with AA for effect on inflammation*.

Evening primrose oil (EPO) has one of the largest concentrations of GLA of any available oil. Scientific studies suggest that the GLA in evening primrose oil is broken down into the more helpful substance, DGLA.

So EPO should be a favored form of omega-6 intake, while omega-6s found in cooking oils and processed foods should be dropped for your best level of health.

Let me show you exactly how this works.

Metabolic Pathways and How They Affect Your Health

You see, in biochemistry a metabolic pathway is a series of chemical reactions taking place within a cell. On each pathway, a principal chemical is changed via a chemical reaction. Enzymes start the reactions and often require vitamins, minerals, or other contributing factors to function properly.

Pathways can be quite complex due to the sheer number of chemicals potentially involved. Besides that, many pathways can exist within each cell.

In other words, not just pathways, but a whole network of pathways exists -- appropriately called the metabolic network.

These metabolic pathways and networks are critical to maintaining homeostasis within your body. Homeostasis is the tendency to regulate the chemical makeup and balance of your internal systems for your health and well-being -- regardless of outside conditions.

Your cells maintain homeostasis by continually monitoring internal conditions and responding appropriately to any deviations they detect.

A familiar example of homeostasis is your body's ability to maintain a steady internal temperature of 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, whatever the temperature is outside.

As you might guess, these pathways can produce a variety of prostaglandins.

The Big Three Prostaglandins...

Scientists believe that three 'series' of prostaglandins exist, Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3, formed via different metabolic pathways within your cells. Each series has varying habits as implied above.

In very simplistic terms, here are the 'Big 3'...

  • Series 1 -- made when GLA from evening primrose oil, borage oil, or black currant oil becomes DGLA.
  • Series 2 -- produced from arachidonic acid (AA) -- found in butter, animal fat (especially pork), organ meats, eggs and seaweed.
  • Series 3 -- found on the omega-3 pathway from fatty acids called eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), found plentifully in fish liver oils and krill oil.

Interaction between the three series is complex and is the subject of ongoing research.

In a nutshell though, Series 2 prostaglandins seem to be involved in swelling, inflammation, clotting and dilation, while Series 1 has the opposite effect. This doesn't automatically make Series 2 all bad -- though your body has a limited need for them -- and they are widely regarded as "bad" prostaglandins.

They are in fact very useful in cases of accident or injury -- immobilizing the affected site to prevent further injury and promote healing.

You could liken them to the "fast lane" on the highway, as they act quickly and intensely. But, if you have too great a supply, they carry on their functions where not wanted or needed.

Series 3 prostaglandins are formed at a slower rate and attempt to balance out your Series 2 production. Series 3 could be likened to the "slow lane". Much research has substantiated Series 3 health benefits... But more on that in a moment.

Simplistic views don't take into account individual requirements for micro and macro nutrients (eating per your nutritional type), or imbalances resulting from nutritional deficiencies, environmental stress, or genetics. The many eicosanoids in your body work together in loops and feedback mechanisms of infinite complexity.

What is clear, however, is that the standard American diet tends to favor Series 2 over-production.

So you may want to supplement your diet to assure that you produce enough Series 1 and 3 prostaglandins to keep you feeling fabulous and actively involved in life's many joys.*

And that's why taking GLA-producing EPO along with your krill oil can be so critical for your health and wellbeing*...

Why Evening Primrose Oil is Your Preferred Source of GLA

GLA is found in evening primrose oil, borage oil and black currant oil.

Although borage oil contains more GLA than evening primrose, EPO seems to deliver better results. That's because much of the borage oil is converted into nervonic acid which can cause problems for some people after a few weeks of use. Further, higher levels of GLA are converted into prostaglandin E-1 (PGE-1) with evening primrose than with borage oil.

  • May relieve normal symptoms of PMS*
  • May reduce breast tenderness*
  • Provides healthy mood support*
  • Promotes normal functioning and growth of cells, nerves, muscles, and organs*
  • Supports healthy skin and hair*
  • Encourages healthy transmission of nerve impulses, which may support a strong memory*
  • Controls optimal metabolic levels*
  • Supports healthy blood pressure levels*
  • Enhances calcium absorption, leading to strong bones*

Because of better results obtained with evening primrose oil versus borage oil, I recommend EPO as the best way to get your GLA and useful, quality omega-6s.

But be sure to balance your omega-6s from EPO with omega-3s, because you could likely benefit from more omega-3 fats too...

The 2 Other Vital Fats that are KEY to Your Health

As you probably already know, two fats in omega-3 oils are crucial to your health -- DHA and EPA. These Series 3 prostaglandin compounds are essential to maintaining your health.

Scientific research indicates that they may also promote heart health and provide immune system and mood support.*

Therefore I strongly recommend adding Krill for Women to your health arsenal. In fact, keeping the balance between your omega-3s and omega-6s is simple with Krill for Women.

Antarctic Pure Krill Oil(the type found in Krill for Women) is a marine oil of pure krill that uniquely and synergistically combines antioxidants and omega-3s, and confirms its superiority over fish oils.

So, if you're looking for a way to enhance your health with a product that really delivers the goods, then please take a minute to discover how Krill for Women can help you.

Krill oil overcomes the shortcomings of fish oils because of its high levels of antioxidants -- helpful for your health for their own sake.

The antioxidants it contains also ensure that the oils don't oxidize and become rancid inside your body* -- important because oxidation leads to the formation of those nasty free radicals.

So just what are krill anyway?

Mighty Nutrition from Tiny Sea Creatures

The hardy krill harvested from harsh Antarctic waters -- the ones that comprise our Krill for Women -- are so important they are considered a "keystone species", an organism upon which many Antarctic predators depend.

These semi-translucent crustaceans congregate in dense masses or swarms that can turn the ocean's surface pink or red.

Together with plankton, krill make up the largest biomass on earth... one of the most easily renewable food resources available, an excellent nutritional source from an environmental perspective.

The key reason Krill for Women with krill is so unique is the synergistic natural combination of krill's three functional nutrients -- omega-3s, protective phospholipids*, and antioxidants -- now combined with the GLA benefits of evening primrose oil.*

Besides DHA and EPA, this unique marine oil has another "secret weapon" not found in fish oils which explains why it has proven superior...

Another Krill Secret Weapon You Should Know About

Unlike fish oils, pure krill oil carries omega-3s in the form of phospholipids -- liposomes or little packages -- that deliver the fatty acids directly to your body's cells*.

Scientific evidence to date has shown that the safest and most effective carriers of EPA and DHA are these phospholipids.

Unfortunately, standard fish oils (and inferior krill oil brands) lack this phospholipid complex. Instead they contain omega-3 fatty acids in the less-beneficial form of free triglycerides.

Why are Phospholipids Important?

Phospholipids are the building blocks for your cell membranes, regulating cellular transport by functioning as 'gate-keepers.'* In this role, they protect cell membranes from free radical attack.*

This unique relationship between the phospholipids and omega-3 fatty acids greatly facilitates the passage of the fatty acid molecules through your intestinal wall.* This helps you in two ways:

  • Makes the omega-3 fats in Krill for Women significantly more bioavailable than those in fish oil by allowing EPA and DHA to directly enter your cells*.
  • Improves your omega-3 to omega-6 ratio*.

Another important fact: The most predominant phospholipid in pure krill oil is phosphatidyl choline, which is partially composed of choline.

Numerous studies have demonstrated the importance of choline in brain development, learning and memory.* In fact, choline is particularly important for fetal and infant brain development in pregnant and nursing women.*

Choline is the precursor for the vital neurotransmitter acetylcholine (which sends nerve signals to the brain) and for trimethylglycine, a recognized liver protector.*

Further, it also boasts a full complement of necessary antioxidants not seen in fish or cod liver oil...

What's more, we use the latest state-of-the-art 'package' for your Krill for Women -- a vastly improved way to deliver the nutrients to your body.

Advantages of the Caplique Delivery System

  • Gives you a more pure product by reducing the number of inactive ingredients that act as a carrier for the active ones.
  • Helps you avoid potentially allergenic ingredients.
  • Improves bioavailability by promoting absorption.*
  • Avoids the use of plasticizers -- chemicals that can exert a negative effect on your endocrine system.
  • Protects contents more by providing a strong barrier to oxygen.
  • Possesses greater bioavailability due to reduced sensitivity to heat and moisture.*
  • Provides you with a good alternative to bovine capsules... they're formulated with fish gelatin.
  • Allows you to see your product's purity through increased visibility of contents.

Eight Great Reasons to Take Krill for Women

There's no question that you can benefit from taking a high-quality fish oil.

But Krill for Women offers clear advantages over fish oil -- and for women, even over New and Improved Krill Oil -- in a number of important ways.

  • Unique Support for Women's Health and Reproductive Systems*

Many women find that EPO promotes their maximum comfort during the time of normal PMS... and general support for reproductive health, hair and skin health and other issues of particular interest to women*.

  • Better Absorption Than Fish Oil*

The phospholipid binding increases the bioavailability of the omega-3s, and supports healthy cell membrane functioning.*

  • Superb Antioxidant Protection*

Unique antioxidants -- including astaxanthin and a novel marine flavonoid -- may protect you from damaging free radicals.*

  • Minimized Effects of Pollution

Krill are at the bottom of the food chain and collected far from pollution, in the pristine seas surrounding Antarctica. So you can have peace of mind about the safety of your supplement from pollutants.

  • Ongoing Supply

Krill are a highly renewable, sustainable and environmentally positive nutrition source. They are the largest biomass in the ocean and there is simply no risk of causing them to perish from over-harvesting.

  • Stability

Antarctic Pure Krill Oil is more stable and more resistant to rancidity than conventional fish oils. This means it has longer shelf life to protect your investment. It will last for TWO years at room temperature. (Please don't refrigerate.)

Plus, it won't oxidize in your body due to rancidity so it offers increased benefits for your health and well-being*.

  • No Fishy Aftertaste, Reflux Or Other Side Effects

Antarctic Pure Krill Oil avoids the common problems of fishy aftertaste, reflux or belching of fish flavors.

A small percentage of users may occasionally experience bloating or abdominal discomfort from use of evening primrose oil, but this is not typical.

Choose the Antioxidant Profile that's the Hands-Down Winner

Krill for Women is jam-packed with antioxidant power, including the antioxidants astaxanthin and canthaxanthin.

Astaxanthin is a natural carotenoid-type of antioxidant that is even more powerful than beta-carotene, alpha-tocopherol, lycopene and lutein.

Krill for Women also contains a newly-discovered flavonoid with a novel molecular structure. You've probably heard that flavonoids are powerful antioxidants. Surprisingly, before now, they had not been found in anything except plants like vegetables, fruits and algae.

Astaxanthin and this unique marine-source flavonoid in Krill for Women create a special bond with EPA and DHA, permitting direct metabolism of the antioxidants...

Isn't it time to discover for yourself how magnificent you can feel -- no matter what time of month it is?
